As part of a special pre-Halloween weekend, Amherst Railway Society, Kids ON TRACK and Springfield Union Station are sponsoring a Saturday morning trip - October 19, 2024. Kids of all ages are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes! THIS IS A SATURDAY ONLY EVENT! CTrail is offering a special roundtrip train ride between Springfield and Hartford.
Passengers leave Springfield at 10:00am and return at 11:38am. Tickets are $5.00 for the roundtrip ride for both children and adults, except for children two (2) and under who ride free. Maggie the Railroad Circus Clown will be on board as well!
Upon return, there will be special "Track or Treat" stations in the main concourse where folks will be able to obtain "treats!"
To ride this train, passengers must be in the main concourse of Springfield Union Station no later than 9:30am on the morning of October 19.
